Back in December, we worked with our friends at The Martini Club to put together a glitzy feature on stylish holiday entertaining for Food & Drink magazine. We liked the idea of creating a roaring twenties party, complete with sophisticated suits and slinky dresses, a black and gold colour palate, and decorations that are guaranteed to elevate your cocktail party to a celebrity-worthy classy affair. Here’s how to do it:

Art Deco Style: Infuse your space with a black, white, and gold palate, using it on everything from invitations to table linens. Most importantly include loads of candles which automatically create a glowingly sophisticated look.

Feathers and Flowers: Place vases of both around your space offering elegance and texture to your setting. Oversized balloons are also a welcome addition and will fill up any empty areas in your space.

Champagne Coupes: Serve your sparkling beverages in classy coupes which immediately add a vintage look to your bar.

Serving Stations: Set up self-serve shucked oysters, shrimp cocktail and caviar stations and pass around retro hors d’oeuvres like devilled eggs and Waldorf salad cups on glass or gold trays.
